It’s a kind of Tragic….

We have just launched to our clients and friends our outdoor Shakespeare festival for 2011 which will take place on the 7 th and 8 th July in the grounds of my family home St Leonards Hill in Windsor.

Amazingly this is our 6th year and we have chosen to revisit Romeo and Juliet which was our first production. Once again the play will be performed by the GB Shakespeare company who are one of the best outdoor companies in England. If you are a fan of outdoor Shakespeare you may well have seen them perform at the top country houses throughout the UK including Arundel Castle.

We set the play amongst the ruins of an old country house on the property and this lends   it an extraordinary atmosphere that is breathtaking.

Earlier today I spent the morning with the production team coming up with ideas on how we are going to stage this years performance.  We have a tradition of moving the audience at least once during the play to another part of the grounds and our idea on how we are going to do this later this summer is making me excited just thinking about it.

Here are some links from previous years.
