Interests

I am a Windsorian through and through, I just love it.  It has less to do with the castle or even the towns history or Royal heritage but more to do with the incredible beauty of Windsor Great Park and the extraordinarily diverse events that constantly happen in our small town.

Andrew Try Windsor Walk

Where else in the world would a town of no more than ten thousand people regularly host State visits? We have seen practically every important contemporary world leader ride in ceremonial carriages so close you can practically touch them.

There is always something happening often right outside the front door.  As I type the largest gathering of Classic Rolls-Royce’s  are gathering in the Park on the long walk as part of Prince Philips 90th birthday celebrations.

In 2001 I got involved in the Windsor Festival.  The festival had been going for 30 years but was running out of steam.  With the appointment of a new Festival Director Martin Denny, I joined as a Trustee and Chairman of the Development Committee to help deliver an ambitious vision and 10 years later we are proud to have one of the finest and most diverse festivals in the UK.  The Festival puts on over 70 events over 2 weeks and is the only public event that is able to use many of Windsor Castle’s historic rooms and areas.

I also sit on the development committee of the Friends of St George, which helps raise money for the college of St George and St Georges Chapel in Windsor Castle and in 2012 I took on the Chairmanship of the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society.

I feel an affinity to the Windsor/ Berkshire area and in 2014 took on a roll as Governor at the Berkshire College of Agriculture www.bca.ac.uk.  I serve as the Link Governor for Agriculture/Horticulture and Floristry.

Through each of these interests and in building and growing my business I have the privilege of meeting  and working with incredible creative, passionate people all trying to change the world for the better!
